  • If your trash/recycling day falls on a holiday, it will be rescheduled to Wednesday of that same week.
  • 2011 Borough Holidays are as follows:  January 17th , February 11th  & 21st,

April 22nd, May 30th, July 4th, September 5th, October 10th , November 8th, 11th, 24th &25th and December 26th.

  • Trash cans can not weigh more than 50lbs
  • Furniture will be collected on your regular trash day, with a maximum of two pieces per collection.
  • Hazardous materials will not be accepted at the Public Works Garage. Please call the Ocean County Northern Recycling Center at 732-367-0802 for more information.

Garage Hours

May 2, 2011 though September 2, 2011                      6:00am – 2:30 pm
September 3, 2011 through May 7, 2012                     7:00am – 3:30 pm

The Public Works Garage will be open the second Saturday of each month as follows:
April through October                                                  7:00am – 3:00pm
November through March                                            8:00am – 12:00 noon

 

Recycling at a Glance

All Residents Entering the Public Works Garage Area Must Sign In At The Office

Aluminum, Tin and Plastic Container  Curbside on Mondays
Cardboard, Newspaper and Mixed Paper (Multi)  Curbside on Fridays
Christmas Trees Curbside on Fridays in January
Metal Curbside on the 1st and 3rd Fridays
Oil and Antifreeze Will be accepted at the Public Works Garage. Drop off only.
Clothing Bins located in the Public Works Yard.  Drop off only.
Telephone Book Will be accepted at the Public Works Garage. Drop off only.
Propane Tank $5.00 per tank.  Must be dropped off at the Public Works Garage.
Tires $2.00 per tire (no rims) dropped off at the Public Works Garage.
Refrigerators, AC Units & Freezers $20.00 per unit; doors must be removed. Drop off at Public Works Garage.
Paint Cans  Must take to the Ocean County Northern Recycling Center.

 

Leaves and Brush

Leaves and brush will be collected on the following Wednesdays:

April 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th
November 2nd, 16th, 30th
December 2nd

 

Goodwill Donation Box

There is a Goodwill container located at the Public Works Garage.  Any usable household items such as dishes, children’s toys, drapes, small household appliances, clothing, books, furniture, computers, etc may be placed in this box.  Please give your trash a second chance.  Call for details.
Ewaste

As of December 27, 2010 electronic items are no longer accepted in the trash.  These items are now a mandated recyclable.  There is a dumpster located in the Public Works Yard to house such items. Ewaste is computers, laptops, televisions, cell phones, stereo equipment, printer, dvd and cd players, fax machines, copiers, etc.  If in doubt please give us a call.

Any Recycling Not Properly Prepared Will Not Be Collected
