The Lakehurst Police Department provides the Borough of Lakehurst with a local police presence twenty-four hours a day-seven days a week. Dispatching services are provided by the Ocean County Sheriff's Department.

	Walking and bicycle patrols
	Public Education programs
	DARE program in Lakehurst Elementary School
	EMT responders with defibrillators in squad cars
	Active community policing program
	Drunk Driving Enforcement Fund-sponsored programs
